Aerial Grapple Saw

The latest addition to our aerial saw services is a state-of-the-art Grapple Saw and AS350B3E helicopter equipped with a maximum pilot view kit that allows the pilot to operate the saw inside an enclosed cabin, considerably lowering pilot fatigue while giving the pilot a much wider field of view when operating the Grapple Saw. This unique device is a game-changer in the field of vegetation management. Up until now, we trim trees to keep their limbs and leaves from the distribution and transmission lines. Of course, nature is relentless, which means it requires constant trimming. With the airborne grapple saw, we instead remove the entire tree from the air, preemptively clearing any potentially hazardous situation.

Aerial Side Trimming

We use a custom made10-bladed Aerial saw, slung under our helicopters, to trim trees that are encroaching on gas, rail, and power rights-of-way. The aerial saw is effective for both transmission and rural distribution line use. A cost-effective option for side-trimming difficult rights-of-way, this method is also useful in environmentally sensitive areas because it does not leave a footprint.
